The Calais Foundation is on a mission to empower children and young adults with serious learning disabilities and socialization challenges to reach their fullest potential in life. Through your continued support, The Calais School delivers hope and meaning to students and their families.

Children with special needs struggle with more than just the challenges presented by their disabilities - there are feelings of isolation, loss of hope, shattered self-esteem, and the trauma of being bullied by their peers. The day to day lives of special needs families can be wrought with heartbreak.

The Calais School’s comprehensive programs and cutting-edge therapeutic services create a nurturing environment where students can thrive and become productive members of society. Unfortunately, not all of our programs are covered by State funding, so we rely on public support to keep them running.
